Tyrosine Improves Thyroid Function

Most of us know that our thyroid makes T4 and we convert it to T3 - or we take T4 in medication form or even a mix of T4 and T3.

But have you ever thought about what T4 - T3 stands for?

T = Tyrosine
3 or 4 = molecules of iodine

So our thyroid hormone is made up of tyrosine (an amino acid) and iodine.

So that kinda makes tyrosine pretty important don't you think??

Low tyrosine levels are particularly evident when it comes to mental health issues, and supplementing with tyrosine can often help with this.
