Dehydration Slows Thyroid Function

We all know we need to drink water, but for us thyroid people, it is even more vital! 

Studies have actually linked dehydration with a decrease in thyroid hormone transport proteins, which results in lowered thyroid function. 

So drink up!

If you are not a fan of plain water (please make sure it's fluoride and chloride free water) try flavouring it with pieces of fruit or slices of citrus. I keep ice cube trays of lemon juice in my freezer and either add hot or cold water to a cube depending on the weather. 

Another favourite of mine is cucumber and orange - sounds really odd but the taste is sensational!!
